These videos were recorded early 1974, in Rochester, NY, at Fantasy Swings night club on a super 8mm home movie camera. If you're old enough to know what a super 8mm home movie camera is then you're old enough to remember Wale. This videos can only be appreciated by old Wale fans who were there at the gigs. The sound and picture quality are horrible. The pitch is of the music is wobbling all over the place and the video is very dark and faded. Even so, it may help to jog a few old memories.

Basically, there were three incarnations of Wale. The first line up (1972-74) featured Mike Marconi on lead guitar, Bob Murray on lead vocals & harmonica, Dave Barnes on drums, Dale Croston on bass and Michael Banzhaff on 2nd guitar & flute. When Michael Banzhaff left in 1974, Dave Munkhoff joined the group, forming the second line up of Wale. Then in 1975, when Mike Marconi left, the spelling was changed to Wail with the introduction of Rinehart Straub, on electric violin, into the band. An important part of Wale was our soundman, Eugene Czapnik, who kept out sound balanced while we played our amps on "10".
