Over the years, Dave has played and/or recorded with such popular musicians as Billy Sheehan (Talas, David Lee Roth), Georgie Fame, Barbara Lewis, The Drifters, Thor (Jon Mikl), Phil "Fang" Volk (Paul Revere & the Raiders), Wale/Whale (Click Here to download free Wale MP3's), Phil Naro, Ron Goedert (White Witch, Perfect Angel) and more. While living in Rochester, New York in the mid 1970's, and playing with the band, Wale (later changed to Wail) he shared the bill with such popular acts as Ronnie Montrose (& Sammy Hagar), Ronnie James Dio, Cheap Trick, Melissa Manchester, Canned Heat, and Lou Gramm (Foreigner). Dave's first band, the Nite-Raiders were the opening act for some great bands from the sixties, such as the Bar-Kays, the Happenings and more. You can hear Dave's classic hard rock guitar style on stage in the central Florida area. His repertoire includes some of the great Cream & Hendrix classics, which are obvious vehicles for ripping guitar jams, but there are also quite a few surprises in his song list. Dave takes unlikely songs, such as the theme from Pink Panther and Perry Mason, and turns them into classic hard rock guitar instrumentals. A rocking guitar version of the Pink Panther is available on Dave Munkhoff's 2011 CD, "Watch Your Back". |
